Colin - I think you may be reading too much into that list. It just gives the total # of edits on any topic, not necessarily edits to their own page. Clicking on the checkbox next to the IP range and then the "Wikipedia Edits Ahoy" button hidden near the bottom of the page will bring up all the topics that were edited.... I tried it with the Deutsche Bank IP range that was the first result, and very few edits are for banking terms (Derek Jeter, The Simpsons, Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Constest, etc)...

So maybe not as scandalous as editing their own entries - but there sure seem to be a lot banks that are having trouble keeping their employees occupied with 'real' work.

Link to the specific edits: http://wikiscanner.virgil.gr/f.php?ip1=160.83.72.0-73.255

@Brent .... I actually don't associate good or bad with this relative to Banks just yet, mainly because the stat isn't clearly defined, per Ron's comment. Just interesting. Its certainly good in the sense that those Banks are active online .... where are the others??

Sorry to be dense, but I'm not sure I really understand what the page you link to is saying.

Are those the number of edits someone from the bank's IP address has made to their OWN bank's Wikipedia page? Or ANY Wikipedia page?

Could this just be a case of someone (or more likely, someones) from those banks who are just simply active editors/contributors to Wikipedia?

Looks like the site is still getting slammed and not accepting the page specific queries which I think are more interesting.

It could separate the evil wikipedia editing by banks from the benevolent ones. If bank associates are modifying their company's description that seems suspect, but if they're helping make some area of knowledge clearer. wouldn't that be a good thing?

Especially if not even remotely connected to making a company's image better or helping its business or smearing competitors. Say like, I just like stats and I'm helping improve some entries...
